Ohne Titel

Our favourite song off Labrador City‘s last year’s debut album Reverie finally gets a dignified video to go with. The video for “Shadows” was directed by Maison Standard.

The highly recommended Reverie is still available via Oh, Sister Records.

It was only last year when Rolf Laureijs, the self-taught musician behind Wavering Hands, started recording music on his own. But what the 20-year old produced in his bedroom, with not much more at hand than a laptop and a cheap mic, has left an impression. His lo-fi attempt on pop music reminds of genre flagships Beach Fossils, Craft Spells or Wild Nothing, but is still breaking new grounds.

Wavering Hands’ first EP is called “I Remember Nothing” will be out Feb 1, 2013 on Oh, Sister Records. In the meantime, download the excellent opener “No Constant” for free on bandcamp, or here below.

“Trouble” is a brand new jam by our friends Labrador City from Berne, Switzerland. Still the four bandmembers rely on their big strengths: The lacy guitar-licks and their nose for gorgeous melodies – without sounding like a cheap copy of their older stuff. Summer in Switzerland can be so relaxing with music like this.

Keep your eyes and ears open for their debut album in the near future!

“South American Dreams”  is one of the many amazing songs on the self-titled Silver Firs debut album. You can get your own copy from our beloved Oh, Sister imprint. The video was shot by the band itself, starring some of their friends.

Also check out a remix of the song, done by Bern based electro-pop outfit Play Patrik.
