Another cut by Lower Dens from their upcoming album, Nootropics, out May 1st on Ribbon Music. We’ve already heard the mindblowing “Brains”, and the hypnotic “Propagation” is making me looking forward to the album even more.
Don’t miss them play Palace, St. Gallen or Bad Bonn Kilbi in May!
Watch Jana Hunter sing «Brains», the first track off Lower Dens‘ sophomore album Nootropics, in this brand-new music video. Directed by Tristan Patterson. The record will be out on April 30 via Ribbon Music.
After a break of almost a week we’re finally back. We’ve been enjoying For Noise Festival in Lausanne, a small festival with a lovely line-up.
To start I advise you to check out this summery jam by Deepak Mantena a.k.a. Junk Culture. He just recorded a new song with Lower Dens‘ Jana Hunter. In “Hang Roxy” they play the role of a couple struggling to keep their relationship going.
“Hang Roxy” is part of Junk Culture’s new 7″ out via Illegal Art. Show them some love on facebook here!
Watch Jana Hunter’s Lower Dens perform «Deer Knives» and«Tea Lights» in this beautiful new video by La Blogotheque. This brings back good memories of their lovely concert with Deerhunter in Lucerne last month.
Even if our hometown Lucerne is a quite good place to go to concerts, it’s a rare thing to see a band here, which is really well known. So you can imagine that we were both extremely excited when we heard that Atlanta’s indie rock four-piece Deerhunter would play a show at the Südpol club on last Monday, April 04.
With good reason: after the show of the four guys, who were supported by Jana Hunter’s wonderful band Lower Dens, we both talked about having seen one of the best concerts of our lives so far. The wild set featured songs from all their albums, which were sometimes enlarged up to 10 minutes, a huge encore and even a little drum solo by lead singer Bradford Cox. Simply ace!
