After having heard the song “Forever” by Brooklyn outfit Lazyeyesearlier that day, I venture the guess that they’re gonna get bigger pretty soon. They’ve already caused a first stir after playing the last edition of CMJ and have constantantly won round more fans since then. Their sound, a dreamy attempt on lo-fi rock, is a perfect attunement for the coming summer.

(Just to name a few) Now a first song from a new Widowspeakalbum has seen the light of day. As the Brooklyn band announced today, “Ballad Of The Golden Hour” is a first cut fromAlmanac, out January 22 via Captured Track. It’s a slow-building indie-folk tune, that might just make your evening.
We discovered San Francisco’s own Evil Eyesback in March and made their sunny lo-fi gems “Saw Her In The Sun” and “Burying Our Love” part of our playlists. In the meantime the duo has expanded to a five-piece band and is prepping its debut album, which should be out early next year. First sign of this record is “Keep Your Mind OnMe” , a twangy indie rock song that arrives just right for the upcoming winter.
New Jersey’s best Indie-Punk outfit Titus Andronicushave let go another song from their new album.“Still Life With Hot Deuce And Silver Platter” has been a live favourite for a year now and combines all the band’s great qualities. It is fucking hymn!
