Some hours ago I was recommended “Sweat”, debut single by dutch artist Pink Oculusby a friend of mine. The song blew my mind at first listen, convincing with a wobbly beat and Esperanzah Denswil‘s soulful vocals and great rapping skills. I was pretty sure that it must have created quite a buzz already, but I was wrong. It seems like the blogosphere hasn’t gotten scent of this mind-blowing tune. Well, time to start the buzz.
One man outfit The Child Of Lov already attracted attention back in October 2012 with his song “Heal”, which was backed by no less than Damon Albarn himself. The Amsterdam based 25-year-old now presents the video to his new single “Give Me”, sounding like a hybrid of Gnarls Barkley, Jai Paul and Prince. He’s going to be big this year, I promise.
Hell yeah! Indie-Folk-Rappers WHY?are finally back with a new track: “Sod In The Seed” is the first song of their new EP of the same name. And what can I say – it’s an amazing uptempo track with everything I love about WHY?.
They’ll release their EP Sod in the Seed through Anticon in August. Later in fall, they’ll also release a new full-length.
