Some hours ago I was recommended “Sweat”, debut single by dutch artist Pink Oculusby a friend of mine. The song blew my mind at first listen, convincing with a wobbly beat and Esperanzah Denswil‘s soulful vocals and great rapping skills. I was pretty sure that it must have created quite a buzz already, but I was wrong. It seems like the blogosphere hasn’t gotten scent of this mind-blowing tune. Well, time to start the buzz.
English producer Gang Colours has released his recommended sophomore album earlier this week. His new single “Why Didn’t You Call?” features the highly talented Lulu James who’s joining Will Ozanne on vocals in this smooth track.
After «Thor’s Stone» (a month ago) we get to hear another (absolutely fantastic) new track by Liverpool’s Matthew Barnes aka Forest Swords. This time the song comes together with a short description that makes us really happy:
«Debut album Engravings out Aug 26 2013 through Tri Angle Records.»
About two weeks after the first radio rip of “Made To Stray” made its way through the blogosphere, we’re finally able to listen to the new Mount Kimbiesong in proper quality. “Made To Stray” will be part of their new Album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth(out in May via Warp) and shows a new, more danceable side of the UK-duo. Melancholic electro-pop outfit Redder from Helsinki indulge us with the brandnew video for their song “Faster”, which was originally released in October 2012. This trippy piece of eye candy was shot by Veli-Matti Hoikka and Aapo Huhta.
Download the song below and find more music on Redder’s bandcamp page. The band will release a six song EP this spring.
