French label Anchor Factory has shown some great taste in new artists recently: After releasing Homeboi‘s Homeboi EP among others, they now signed the american electro-pop duo Old Arc.
Old Arc‘s first single on the label is called “Stay Calm”, a track who is built of heavy synths, looped words and high-pitched vocals. Listen to the springlike tune below or buy it via iTunes here.
Old Arc’s self-titled EP is available for free download at their bandcamp!
As if his music wasn’t already mysterious and dreamy enough, this electronic producer doesn’t give us any information about himself. We don’t know where he’s from, we don’t know his name – nothing. But in fact radioseven‘s music is all you need to wake up from your winter lethargy and get into a merry spring mood.
Check out two of his tunes below or head over to his bandcamp to download his great EP for free!
Our fellow blogger Oli Shilling alias Comodo from Sucking Lemons sent us over some of his very unique tunes this week. The Englishman produces them with the help of samples and own instruments. That results a subtle, ambient mix with influences of electronica, chillwave and post-dubstep. Keep ‘em coming man!
This is pretty ironic. San Francisco’s chillwave maestro Blackbird Blackbird managed to drop his new music video just in the same week as thousands of birds fell from the sky all over the world. However, I like this colorful and kinda psych-looking shit.
Released this week, Monster Rally‘s digital single “Moonglow” takes you on a jungle trip full of beautiful, tropical melodies. The track and its two b-sides are available as a free download on his bandcamp page. I’m definitely looking forward to the 12″ LP Coral, which comes in January.
As I read on Pitchfork yesterday, South Carolina’s chillwave maestro Toro Y Moi is working on a new full lengh album. Underneath the Pine comes a year after his debut Causers of This on February 22.
Besides, the 24-year-old recently dropped the first single of his side project called Les Sins. “Lina” and its b-side “Youth Gone” are definitely no chillwave, but two straight and disco inspired dance tracks. Nznz.
Here’s something for all you nerds out there: “Calrissian”, a new, probably Star Wars inspired track of Millionyoung from Florida. I’ve been keeping an eye on this guy since I fell in love with his fabulous remix of Dream Cop’s “Warm Trash” some weeks ago. With good reason, that’s for sure!
