On the 27th of January, English electro-pop upstarts Dems(and one of last year’s bands to watch on guerolitomusic) will release their dreamy new single “Christabel” for free – until then we have to settle for the song’s beautiful official video and a soundcloud stream. But this fact shouldn’t prevent you from listening this song as much as you’re able to. “Christabel”, which might easily be one of the big tunes of the upcoming year.
Finally, Brooklyn indie pop outfit Beach Fossils has announced their second album. It will be called Clash the Truth and is out February 19 on Captured Tracks. Below you can download a first song, “Careless”. It’s good.
Korsett is a well-known and -regarded collective of DJs, musicians, graphic- and sound-designers based in our hometown Lucerne and also a host of clubnights (with acts like Rustie, Evian Christ, Karenn, Machinedrum, …) at Südpol club, Lucerne.
The collective recently announced Good Girls, a new 3-song EP by Hood Regulators, a (former) DJ team consisting of Leisure Options and Kackmusikk (RBMA participant 2011). Since Monday you can download the release for free via Korsett’s web store. Good Girls is composed of elements from different genres and trends of contemporary and underground electronic music such as juke, trance, «trap» or post R&B. Definitely worth a listen!

Title track ‘Good Girls (Gotta Get Down With The Gangster)’ confesses to a proper clubanthem: Epic Trance-Moments blend with pawns of US HipHop-productions.
Stubborn Heart is the musical project of production duo Luca Santucci and Ben Fitzgerald which convince with subtle dark beats and mournful chant. Their self-titled debut album was released some weeks ago on One Little Indian Records. The video for their actual single “Need Someone” was directed by Elaine Constantine.
Some of you might already heard of it, but to most of you this festival might still be pretty unknown. Le Guess Who? is a international music festival that takes place in the old city of Utrecht, in Holland. I had the pleasure to experience Le Guess Who? last year for the first time and was just overwhelmed by the loveliness of the event and especially the good nose for young and upcoming, but yet advanced and promising acts.
This year’s edition will take place from November 29 to December 2nd and faces appearances by established acts just as Deerhoof, Do Make Say Think, Why? or Destroyer and some of our favourite bands of 2012 like FIDLAR, Matthew Dear, Lower Dens, DIIV or Ty Segall among many others! You can check the entire line-up here.
But for now we’d like to make you aware of one of the smaller acts to play the festival this year: It’s the Montreal-based psych-garage outfit EACH OTHER. The three piece consisting of Brad Loughead, Mike Wright and Christian Simmons plays an unique blend of watery guitars, muted bass and dreamy vocals, creating psychedelic-pop gems hidden behind a curtain of fuzz. Don’t miss them! They’ll play the festival on Friday.
Make sure to download their two EPs and 7”-single on their bandcamp page for free!
