Ever since we’ve posted “Sonsick” back in January of this year, we knew that San Ferminare going to be big sooner than later. The track still is one of our favourite ones of this year. Since then no other song by the band lead by Ellis Ludwig-Leonehas been released – but in this fall we’ll finally get the release of the awaited debut record. It will be out on Downtown Records on 17 September 2013.
In the meantime enjoy the video to “Sonsick” which was just premiered by Stereogum.
As recently announced, there’s a new release by one of Switzerland’s most overlooked bands coming: After their strong debut record, which was released last year, Silver Firsare coming out with three new songs, assembled on EP#1.
We’re happy to unveil the EP’s opener, the percussion-laden, propulsive, but yet dreamy indie pop beaut “Motherland”. It’s available for download below. The entire thing will be released digitally on Oh, Sister Recordson the 28th of June.
Today’s a good day. Sonny & The Sunsetsare releasing their awaited new record Antenna To The World - and we highly recommend you to get your own copy. Our favourite tune off the new LP, the closing “Green Blood”, is available for download below.
Antenna To The World is out via Polyvinyl Recordsand can be streamed in its entirety here.
Just one more month to go until the debut record of Sub Pop signed Rose Windows will finally see the light of day. In November of 2011, the band led by Seattle songwriter Chris Cheveyo began working on the album with local producer Randall Dunn (SunnO))), Boris) and has compiled songs that are influenced by “the Band’s folk-infused rock, The Doors organ-driven psychedelia, and Black Sabbath’s blues-based dirges”. Now a fairly epic track was made available for free – it’s called “Wartime Lovers”.
Sun Dogswill be out June 25. Another song called “Native Dreams” can be downloaded on their label’s page.
Electronic R’n'B duo Dead Timesmight have released one of this year’s best tracks. “Centuries” floats between soft acoustic percussion, electronic beats and smooth vocal elements. This is amazing.
Head over to their bandcamp to download two more songs from the L.A. duo.
