album | COOLRUNNINGS • dracula is only the beginning

It’s been almost exactly a year since I announced Knoxville based project COOLRUNNINGS as a band to watch. This was followed by several appearances on guerolitoplaylists and also a place on the list of our favourite tunes of 2010 with “San Dimas Oasis“.

Finally the young band has found the time to record their first full-length. It’s called Dracula Is Only The Beginning and is available for the price of your choice over at their bandcamp. I really enjoyed their old stuff but I was afraid that they couldn’t convince me with a full-lenght. But somehow COOLRUNNINGS managed to create a cheeky and extremly catchy album, demonstrating their strenghts in every single tune, cleverly combining lo-fi rock with psychedelic elements.
