Long-time Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie, who is perceived as a messianic figure in Jamaica’s Rastafari movement, seems to be the force behind Conor Oberst’s new Bright Eyes song. As expected Conor doesn’t reinvent his music at all, but still it’s too good not to like it. You’ll find the Bright Eyes – typical instrumentation, great lyrics and, of course, Conor’s unique and perfectly fitting voice.
The new record The People’s Key will be released physically February 15 via Saddle Creek. I guess this is going to be a good one!
