Tobacco: “Grape Aerosmith” (feat. Beck) (Video – 2010)

Tobacco a.k.a. Tom Fec of Black Moth Super Rainbow released his second album Maniac Meat via Anticon back in May. Two songs of this record feature our beloved workaholic Beck Hansen on vocals. Funny fact: Tobacco revealed that in making the album, the two exchanged parts for songs via e-mail, and that they had never actually met in person.

One of the songs is called “Grape Aerosmith” and mainly consists of JackWhite-like guitar licks and electronic drumbeats with Beck rapping/talking over it. Strange combination – but somehow it works. I think also because of the new video for the song, check it out and you might understand why.
